THEIR STUDENT FEELS UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THEIR CHILD. UM WHAT THEIR PRONOUNS ARE, AND SO I KNOW THAT A LOT OF TIMES UM, WE HAVE SAID, YOU KNOW, DON'T ASK IF THEY WANT TO SHARE THE INFORMATION WITH YOU, THEN THAT'S GREAT. AND SO ONE THING THAT THAT ACTUALLY ANOTHER TEACHER POINTED OUT TO ME WHEN WE WERE KIND OF DISCUSSING, YOU KNOW WHAT'S THE PROTOCOLS IN THE CLASSROOM FOR THIS? YOU CAN SEE THAT IN OUR GENERAL FUND WE CLOSE WITH A COMBINED FUND BALANCE OF JUST OVER $92.3 MILLION 55.4 MILLION IS IN UNRESTRICTED ACCOUNTS JUST OVER 36.9 MILLION AND RESTRICTED ACCOUNTS. WE ALSO HAVE THAT LEGAL RESTRICTED RESERVE FOR CASH AND STORES THAT WE HAVE SET ASIDE IT JUST OVER 317,000. AND THEN IN THE SENATOR SLIDE, YOU CAN SEE THAT WE SET ASIDE SOME RESERVES, OTHER COMMITMENTS. REVISION PROPOSAL BACK IN MID MAY. WE KNOW THAT THE GOVERNOR SIGNED THE 22 23 STATE BUDGET ACT. THIS WAS BACK ON JUNE 27TH. AND THE BUDGET INCLUDES A 6.56% STATUTORY COST OF LIVING ADJUSTMENT FOR THE CURRENT YEAR AND THEN AN ADDITIONAL COAL AUGMENTATION OF 6.28% FOR THIS YEAR AS WELL AND THAT'S UP FROM THE 3.3% COAL AUGMENTATION THE GOVERNOR PROPOSED BACK IN MAY.

THE BUDGET ACT ALSO INCLUDES A SIGNIFICANT CHANGE TO THE ONE TIME DISCRETIONARY BLOCK GRANT.

IT WAS PROPOSED IN MAY AS WELL AND THIS GRANT HAS BEEN REDUCED FROM EIGHT BILLION DOWN THE 3.6 BILLION AND HAS BEEN RENAMED THE ARTS, MUSIC AND INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS. DISCRETIONARY BLOCK GRANT. AND THEN, LASTLY, THEY ENACTED BUDGET ALSO INCLUDES AN ADDITIONAL 7.9 BILLION, AND THIS IS A NEW ONE TIME LEARNING RECOVERY BLOCK GRANT FUNDS. AND WE'RE GOING TO SHARE MORE INFORMATION ON EACH OF THESE PROGRAMS A LITTLE LATER IN THE PRESENTATION. SO THIS CHART JUST SUMMARIZES THE KEY CHANGES THAT WE TALKED ABOUT IN THE PREVIOUS SLIDE. REMEMBER TO IMPLEMENT OR EXPAND LEARNING SUPPORTS AIMED AT CLOSING LEARNING GAPS. NUMBER THREE. INTEGRATE PUPIL SUPPORTS AND STAFF TRAINING TO ADDRESS BARRIERS TO STUDENT LEARNING.

FOR PROVIDE ACCESS TO INSTRUCTION FOR CREDIT DEFICIENT PUPILS AND THEN LASTLY, NUMBER FIVE PROVIDE ADDITIONAL ACADEMIC SERVICES TO STUDENTS SUCH AS DIAGNOSTIC PROGRESS, MONITORING AND THEN BENCHMARK ASSESSMENTS. AN AVERAGE DAILY ATTENDANCE FUNDING LOSSES THAT WE EXPERIENCED DURING THE PANDEMIC OVER A THREE YEAR PERIOD, USING A THREE YEAR ROLLING AVERAGE. THIS IS AN ONGOING FUNDING, AND THIS IS TO REIMBURSE SCHOOL DISTRICTS FOR UP TO 60% OF THEIR PRIOR TRANSPORTATION COSTS, AND THIS REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE OFFSET OR REDUCED BY THE HOME TO SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION ADD ON FUNDING THAT DISTRICTS RECEIVED THROUGH THE LOW CONTROL FUNDING FORMULA.

IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE FUNDING DISTRICTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO ADOPT A TRANSPORTATION PLAN BY APRIL 1ST OF 2023 THEN ANNUALLY THEREAFTER. AND THAT PLAN MUST DESCRIBE THE SERVICES THAT WILL OFFER STUDENTS HOW TRANSPORTATION SERVICES WILL BE PRIORITIZED FOR STUDENTS AND TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN THROUGH EIGHTH. EXCUSE ME THROUGH SIXTH GRADE, AS WELL AS ALL OF OUR LOW INCOME STUDENTS. THIS IS JUST PART OF THEIR LEARNING EXPERIENCE. AND SO I THINK YOU KNOW SOME OF THESE KEY ELEMENTS THAT THEY DO TEACH. AND EXPAND ON ARE REALLY IMPORTANT.
