[MINUTES]
OKAY, SO THAT'LL BRING US NEXT 2 MINUTES.WE HAVE JUST ONE SET OF MINUTES.
[00:05:01]
I'LL MAKE A MOTION TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF JUNE 21 TO 2022.ALL THOSE IN FAVOR. MOTION CARRIES FOUR ZERO.
AND THAT BRINGS US TO SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT.
[SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT]
ALL RIGHT, DR.MATHEWS, WELCOME TO OUR FIRST MEETING.
I FEEL WELCOME. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
NICE TO SEE THE BOARD AND ALL OF YOU HERE.
TODAY IS MY FIFTH DAY AS YOUR AS YOUR SUPERINTENDENT AND I.
I VISITED IN MY TIME HERE, THE DISTRICT OFFICE STAFF, THE DISTRICT OFFICE DEPARTMENTS.
I'VE SEEN SEEN AROUND I'VE BEEN AT EL DORADO HIGH SCHOOL, AND I MET WITH SOME OF OUR 2754 EMPLOYEES.
I HAVE A LOT MORE TO GO, BUT I'M GRATEFUL FOR THE WARM WELCOME FROM THE BOARD.
FROM OUR FROM OUR STAFF, FROM FAMILIES AND MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY.
IT'S FELT I FELT VERY WELCOME HERE.
I THINK, YOU KNOW THAT I'VE SERVED IN MANY DISTRICTS IN MY 35 PLUS YEARS IN PUBLIC EDUCATION.
AND WHILE I'M HERE, YOU CAN'T HELP BUT JUST GET PERSPECTIVE ON IT.
AND SO I SPENT MY TIME HERE TALKING WITH EMPLOYEES, SEEING SEEING THE PLACES, BUT REALLY JUST TRYING TO GET TO KNOW WHAT PYLE USED IS ABOUT AND LOOKING AT OUR DISTRICT OFFICE AND THE SERVICES THEY PROVIDE.
AND IN EL DORADO, SOME OF THE PROGRAMS WERE SUPPORTING STUDENTS EXTRA ASSISTANCE.
THE REASON WE EXIST AND THE P P VALUES ADVANTAGE.
THEY KNOW THEIR JOBS IN AND OUT, BUT MORE THAN THAT, THEY CARE PROFOUNDLY ABOUT THIS ORGANIZATION.
OUR EMPLOYEES CARE ABOUT OUR STUDENTS, THEIR WELL-BEING AND THEIR SUCCESS.
OUR EMPLOYEES CARE ABOUT OUR FAMILIES AND OUR COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND THE ROLE THEY PLAY.
OUR EMPLOYEES OUR EMPLOYEES CARE ABOUT A SAFE, RESPECTFUL AND ENGAGED ENVIRONMENT.
AND ONE OF THE WAYS I TELL THAT, AND THIS MAY SEEM SILLY TO YOU, BUT PERHAPS IT'S THE HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL IN ME, I CAN'T GET OVER THE QUALITY OF THE FACILITIES IN OUR DISTRICT. EVERYTHING IS CLEAN, EVERYTHING'S TAKEN CARE OF, EVERYTHING IS ORGANIZED.
THERE'S NOT JUST PEOPLE DOING THEIR JOB.
IT'S HAVING GREAT PRIDE IN THEIR JOB.
I THAT TO ME TELLS ME SO MUCH ABOUT WHO WE ARE AND WHO OUR EMPLOYEES ARE.
OUR EMPLOYEES CARE DEEPLY ABOUT ALL THE SUCCESS AND THEY DEMONSTRATE THAT BY I'VE MET SO MANY PEOPLE WHO ARE EMPLOYEES HERE AND THEY LIVE WITHIN OUR SCHOOL DISTRICT BORDERS. THEY SEND THEIR CHILDREN TO OUR SCHOOLS, THEY SEND THEIR GRANDCHILDREN TO OUR SCHOOLS.
OUR EMPLOYEES AND I ALREADY KNOW THIS AND I KNOW I'LL HEAR IT AGAIN AND AGAIN.
I NEED HELP WITH THAT, BY THE WAY.
BUT OUR PEOPLE ARE THE HEART AND SOUL OF PLACENTIA YORBA LINDA UNIFIED DISTRICT.
IT'S THE BASIS OF WHO WE ARE, AND IT'S BEEN MY PRIDE AND MY THRILL TO GET TO KNOW EVERYBODY HERE.
SO FIVE DAYS IN, THAT'S WHAT I KNOW SO FAR.
AND I COULDN'T BE MORE HAPPY TO BE HERE.
THAT'S GREAT. WELL, THANK YOU FOR SHARING THAT.
[COMMUNICATIONS AND BOARD REPORT]
SO THAT TAKES US TO ANY COMMUNICATIONS AND BOARD REPORT.YOU WANT TO START DOWN AT THE END? WELL, I'LL BE TERRIBLY BRIEF.
AND I'M GLAD THAT YOU'VE HAD A CHANCE TO START GETTING FAMILIAR WITH IT.
I KNOW. I KNOW THE FEELING WHEN YOU COME IN, IN WHATEVER CAPACITY, THERE'S A LOT TO LEARN.
BUT THANK YOU. THE ONLY OTHER THING I GUESS I'LL ADD IS THIS IS YOUR FIRST MEETING THIS EVENING AND IN YOUR ROLE TOMORROW WILL BE THE FIRST ROPE MEETING WITH OUR NEW SUPERINTENDENT THERE.
AND SO HE KNOWS THE ORGANIZATION BECAUSE HE HAPPENS TO HAVE BEEN THE ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT.
BUT NONETHELESS, ASSUMING THE HELM, AS DR.
MATTHEWS IS DOING NOW, IS IS A MONUMENTAL EVENT FOR EACH OF THE INDIVIDUALS.
[00:10:03]
OKAY. GOOD EVENING.ALL RIGHT, EVERYONE. I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GREAT 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND.
THERE WERE SOME AMAZING TIMES THAT WERE HAD.
BUT, YOU KNOW, FOR FOR EACH THEIR OWN, WHATEVER.
I'M JUST GLAD NOTHING REALLY BURNED DOWN TOO MUCH.
SO TONIGHT'S BOARD REPORT, I'D LIKE TO JUST ASSURE ALL THE PARENTS IN OUR DISTRICT.
AS A DISTRICT, WE'RE STILL CONTINUING TO LOOK FOR WAYS TO IMPROVE ALL THE MENTAL HEALTH FOR OUR STAFF, FOR OUR TEACHERS, AND AS FAR AS OUR STUDENTS AS WELL.
AND WE'RE ALSO TRYING TO REINFORCE CONCERNS, AS YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN WATCHING THE NEWS OVER THE PAST MONTH, WE'VE HAD SCHOOL ISSUES, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO SAFETY.
SO WE ARE REVISITING THAT, MAKING SURE THAT THAT OUR SCHOOLS ARE SAFE BECAUSE FRANKLY, YOUR KIDS ARE OF GREAT IMPORTANCE TO US AND WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WE PROVIDE AS MUCH SAFETY AS AS POSSIBLE.
I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO WELCOME DR.
MATTHEWS. I KNOW THIS IS HIS FIRST BOARD MEETING, AND I AM PRETTY CURIOUS TO REALIZE IF IF IF HE'S REALIZED THAT WE ARE VERY CHARISMATIC, PASSIONATE AND SOMETIMES CHALLENGING SCHOOL DISTRICT.
AND I, I KNOW HE WILL HE WILL HANDLE THOSE ISSUES QUITE WELL.
SO AS A TRUSTEE IN YOUR DISTRICT, I APPRECIATE ALL OF THE ALL THE EMAILS THAT I'M RECEIVING.
WE DO HAVE AN AMAZING STAFF HERE IN THE DISTRICT THAT ARE ALSO DOING WORK BEHIND THE SCENES.
IN ORDER TO GET US SOME OF THAT INFORMATION, I WOULD LOVE TO SAY THAT IT WOULD BE SOMETHING WE COULD CHANGE OVERNIGHT, BUT REALISTICALLY IT WON'T. AS YOU GUYS PROBABLY KNOW, THE WHEELS OF PROGRESS SOMETIMES TURN REALLY SLOW, BUT JUST KNOW THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT ARE WORKING BEHIND THE SCENES DILIGENTLY TO GET SOME OF THESE ISSUES TAKEN CARE OF.
SO WITH THAT, THAT IS PRETTY MUCH ALL I HAVE FOR MY BOARD REPORT.
SO I, I GUESS I'LL TOUCH ON THE END THING WITH THE MILITARY DEAL THAT I DID, BUT THAT ALSO COULD TIE INTO, I GUESS, SCHOOLS ACROSS AMERICA, BUT MAYBE HOW TO IMPLEMENT SOME EXCITEMENT FOR SPORTS PROGRAMS AMONG OUR YOUTH.
BUT FIRST OF ALL, I'VE HAD SEVERAL MEETINGS THIS MONTH, AND I'VE HAD SOME PARENTS REACH OUT TO ME CONCERNED THAT KIDS ARE APPROACHING UPPER ELEMENTARY GRADES THAT CANNOT READ.
THEY CAN READ, BUT THEY'RE READING BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC.
THEY'RE BEHIND AND THEY ARE STRUGGLING.
AND THERE ARE SOME PARENTS WHO BELIEVE HALF THE CLASS ISN'T WHERE THEY SHOULD BE.
ONE SCHOOL IN PARTICULAR HAS REACHED OUT TO ME WITH THIS CONCERN.
AND AS I'VE SPOKEN WITH TEACHERS AND PARENTS ACROSS THE DISTRICT, IT SEEMS THAT WE HAVE SOME SCHOOLS, CLASSROOM AND KIDS THAT END UP GETTING A DIFFERENT READING EXPERIENCE THAN OTHERS. SO I WAS WONDERING IF THE DISTRICT COULD PLEASE SHARE WITH US HOW WE ARE APPROACHING READING AND LITERACY IN K THROUGH 12 AND BEING ON THE SAME PAGE AS A DISTRICT IS SO IMPORTANT.
SINCE I'VE RUN FOR THE SCHOOL BOARD, I SAID, ALWAYS SAID I WANTED TO SEE US GET BACK TO THE BASICS.
I KNOW WE HAVEN'T HAD A LOT OF DATA GO OFF WITH THE PANDEMIC TO GO OFF OF WITH THE PANDEMIC.
[00:15:05]
I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO THE RESPONSES.I WAS WONDERING IF THIS IS SOMETHING WE CAN OFFER OUR PARENTS FOR THE FUTURE.
SOMETIMES THE KIDS, THE FRUSTRATION WITH SOME OF THE PARENTS WAS AND JUST LISTENING IN SOME BOOSTER MEETINGS IS THAT EVERYBODY GETS SIGNED UP AND THEN THE MONEY IS LATE BECAUSE PARENTS WORK AND SO SOMETIMES THE OFFICE IS CLOSED.
SO I WAS JUST WONDERING IF THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING WE COULD OFFER OUR PARENTS IN THE FUTURE.
AND THEN ONE MORE THOUGHT THAT I HAD WE'VE HAD I HAD SEVERAL MEETINGS WITH PARENTS REGARDING IEPS AND THEIR FRUSTRATION WITH THE IEP PROCESS. THEY FEEL THAT SOMETIMES WHEN THEY GO IN FOR THEIR IEP MEETING OR THEIR FIRST MEETING, THAT THEY NEED MORE INFORMATION.
I WAS WONDERING IF THERE IS ANY POSSIBLE WAY WE CAN PROVIDE ADVOCATES FOR OUR PARENTS OR PROVIDE INFORMATIVE MEETINGS WITH A REPRESENTATIVE FROM OUR DISTRICT PRIOR TO THE IEP TO INFORM THE PARENTS AND HELP THEM PREPARE FOR THE MEETINGS.
PARENTS HAVE EXPRESSED FRUSTRATION THAT SOMETIMES THEY DO NOT RECEIVE THE PAPERWORK OR PLAN BEFORE THE IEP, SO WHEN THEY'RE PUT IN THE MEETING, THEY'RE OVERWHELMED AND MANY TIMES THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND OR FULLY COMPREHEND THE INFORMATION, OR SOMETIMES THEIR CHILD MAY BE MORE SEVERE OR THERE'S IT'S WORSE THAN THEY THOUGHT AND THEY JUST GET OVERWHELMED.
IT'S EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE TO HIRE ATTORNEYS.
AND IF WE'RE ALL WORKING IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE STUDENTS, I'M WONDERING IF THIS IS SOMETHING AS A DISTRICT WE CAN ACHIEVE OR IF WE CAN START TO IMPLEMENT THE PARENTS STATE THAT MANY TIMES THEY ARE ABLE TO BRING A FRIEND OR SOMEONE WHO HAS GONE THROUGH THE SYSTEM BEFORE AS THEIR ADVOCATE.
AND SO JUST SITTING IN THESE MEETINGS, I JUST KIND OF THOUGHT TO MYSELF, IS THERE SOMETHING WE AS A DISTRICT WE CAN DO? HOSPITALS HAVE ADVOCATES FOR CHILDREN THAT SIT IN AND SPEAK WITH THE DOCTORS AND PARENTS ABOUT THE BEST COURSES OF TREATMENT.
AND SO I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS ATTAINABLE OR IF ANYTHING CAN BE DONE WITH THIS, BUT ONE OF THE SUGGESTIONS I ALSO SUGGESTED IN ONE OF THESE MEETINGS WAS WE HAVE SO MANY PARENTS WHO ARE REALLY UP TO DATE ON THE IEP PROCESS, PROCESS AND THE ACCOMMODATIONS NEEDED.
SO THAT WAS ONE OF THE WAS JUST AN IDEA I HAD JUST.
JUST KIND OF THROWING IT OUT THERE TO SEE WHAT'S POSSIBLE JUST TO HELP OUR PARENTS OUT.
LIKE I SHOULD HAVE BEEN A HELICOPTER PILOT.
BUT I WAS ABLE TO GO OUT TO ONE OF THE LOCAL THE FORTS AND DO SOME MILITARY EXERCISES.
AND SO WHEN WE WERE IN A ROUNDTABLE THING AND TALKING ABOUT RECRUITING, THEY SAID THAT THE LACK OF RECRUITING, YOU KNOW, THAT THERE'S NOT A HIGH PERCENTAGE OF KIDS IN AMERICA THAT ACTUALLY CAN QUALIFY FOR MILITARY SERVICE.
AND A LOT OF IT IS DUE TO OBESITY AND SOME OTHER AILMENTS.
AND SO THAT WAS JUST SOMETHING THAT WAS ON MY RADAR BECAUSE I'M AN ABSOLUTE SPORTS ADVOCATE.
AND SO I'M JUST STARTING TRYING TO BRAINSTORM JUST TO THINK, HOW CAN WE GET OUR KIDS BACK INTO THESE SPORTS AND GET THEM HEALTHIER? SO THAT'S SOMETHING I WANTED TO BRING UP.
I MEAN, IT'S DROPPED SIGNIFICANTLY THAT KIDS ARE NOT PARTICIPATING IN HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS ANYMORE.
AND SO THAT WAS JUST SOMETHING ON MY MIND.
AND I'M THROWING OUT THERE. AND IF PEOPLE HAVE IDEAS, I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR IT.
MATHEWS. AND I'M GLAD YOUR FIRST FIVE DAYS WERE GOOD AND THAT'S MY REPORT.
GREAT. WELL, THANK YOU, EVERYBODY.
I DON'T REALLY HAVE ANYTHING MUCH TO ADD.
[00:20:03]
I DID GET TO GO UP TO LAKEVIEW ELEMENTARY AND VISIT OUR SUMMER PROGRAM, WHICH WAS REALLY FUN, AND WATCH ALL OF THE THE PLAYGROUND, ALL OF THE ACTIVITIES HAPPENING IN SUMMER, WHICH IS DIFFERENT LOOKING THAN THE TYPICAL SCHOOL YEAR.I WENT INTO ONE CLASS RIGHT AFTER THEIR BREAK AND IT WAS GAME DAY AND SO THEY WERE LEARNING ALL KINDS OF DIFFERENT GAMES AND ROTATING JUST BRAIN ACTIVITIES THAT THEY DON'T GET TO NORMALLY DO IN A SCHOOL YEAR BUT ARE DEFINITELY CHALLENGING AND AND KEEP THE THE THE LACK OF THE SUMMER SLIDE KEEP THAT FROM COMING. SO BUT THAT WAS FUN.
THAT REALLY IS ALL I HAVE BEEN DOING ON THE SCHOOL FRONT.
[PUBLIC COMMENT]
SO NEXT THAT WILL BRING US TO PUBLIC COMMENT AND WE HAVE 12 ALTOGETHER.SO IF WE COULD GO FOR A TWO AND A HALF MINUTES.
SHARI PALICKI, BRANT DEE, STEPHANIE DEE AND KRISTEN DEE.
[00:36:50]
TESTING. TESTING, TESTING.[00:38:36]
OKAY. WE'RE GOING TO COME BACK.[00:38:37]
IT SEEMS LIKE WE ARE BACK IN ACTION.HOPEFULLY YOU ALL CAN SEE US AND HEAR US.
THE LAST COMMENTS THAT WERE MADE WERE NOT GOING TO BE REPEATING.
THOSE WERE DONE WITH CLOSED CAPTIONING.
SO THAT SHOULD COULD HELP THE PEOPLE THAT OUT IN THE AUDIENCE WANT TO WATCH AND HEAR THAT BUT THE BOARD MEMBERS DID HEAR ALL OF THOSE PUBLIC COMMENTS THAT WERE MADE PREVIOUSLY.
MY NAME IS KRISTEN AND I HAVE THREE CHILDREN AT TRAVIS RANCH.
LAST YEAR WAS ROUGH, TO SAY THE LEAST.
OUR PRINCIPAL AT TRAVIS RANCH TOOK POLITICAL SIDES, AND IT WAS PAINFULLY OBVIOUS ON MANY OCCASIONS.
IT WAS SO BAD THAT ONE OF MY CHILDREN WAS ABSOLUTELY AFRAID TO GO TO SCHOOL.
WHAT SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN? I HOPE TO SEE A BETTER STRUCTURE AND INVOLVEMENT FROM TOP TO BOTTOM THIS YEAR.
DR. MATTHEWS, I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO A BETTER YEAR UNDER YOUR LEADERSHIP.
OUR NEXT SPEAKERS. I'LL READ THOSE AGAIN SINCE WE HAD A LITTLE BREAK.
JOON JEONG, RYAN JEONG, KRIS PALICKI AND KRISTEN MORTENSEN.
[00:40:02]
MY NAME IS JUNE. TODAY MY TOPIC IS IT'S TIME TO REDUCE THE CLASS SIZE.EIGHT YEARS AGO, I MOVED FROM FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA, TO YORBA LINDA, CALIFORNIA.
MY OLDER DAUGHTER WAS GOING TO THE THIRD GRADE.
I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I SAW THE CLASS LIST POSTED ON THE BULLETIN BOARD.
THERE WERE MORE THAN 30 STUDENTS IN HER THIRD GRADE CLASS WHEN WE WERE IN NORTH DAKOTA.
HER CLASS SIZE WAS ONLY AROUND 20 STUDENTS.
SHE STARTED TO GET MANY BAD GRADES.
I THOUGHT IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE CULTURE CHANGE.
NOT UNTIL RECENTLY WHEN I READ A REPORT ON CALIFORNIA'S HIGH STUDENT TO TEACHER RATIO.
SHE RECEIVED LESS ATTENTION FROM HER TEACHERS DUE TO THE LARGE CLASS SIZE.
I HAVE TAUGHT IN HIGHER EDUCATION ENVIRONMENT FOR MORE THAN 15 YEARS.
ACCORDING TO MY TEACHING EXPERIENCE, I DISCOVERED THAT WHEN THE CLASS SIZE IS LESS THAN 20 STUDENTS, I CAN MANAGE THE DYNAMICS OF THE CLASS TIME VERY WELL AND KNOW EACH INDIVIDUAL STUDENT WELL.
STUDENTS ARE PERFORMING WELL AS WELL WHEN THE CLASS SIZE IS BETWEEN 27 TO 30, MORE STUDENTS WITH LESS COMPETENCE NEEDS HELP FROM TUTORS.
LAST SEMESTER I TAUGHT AN ENGINEERING STATISTIC CLASS WITH 36 STUDENTS.
MANY STUDENTS DID NOT DO WELL.
THOSE WHO ARE COLLEGE STUDENTS.
I CAN'T IMAGINE WHEN WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF THEY ARE ELEMENTARY KIDS.
THIS LEADS ME TO PONDER WHAT WILL BE THE BEST CLASS SIZE AND RESEARCH HAS COME TO GENERAL CONCERN CONCESSIONS THAT SMALLER CLASS SIZE CAN HELP PRODUCE POSITIVE SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL AND ACADEMIC RESULTS.
OF COURSE, THIS IS A VERY HARD GOAL FOR US RIGHT NOW, BUT ACCORDING TO A REPORT I READ THAT CALIFORNIA, IT'S ACTUALLY HAS 35% HIGHER THAN NATIONAL AVERAGE.
SO IT'S TIME FOR US TO CONSIDER TO USE THE TEST.
DO WE HAVE A RYAN HERALD? JANE. OH, YOU'RE UP NEXT.
MY NAME IS GERARD AND I AM A SOON TO BE A SCRIBBLER AT CREMONA MIDDLE SCHOOL.
AND I'M HERE TO TALK ABOUT MRS. TRACY TRON.
SHE WAS MY SIXTH GRADE TEACHER AT WOODSBORO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
SHE IS A GREAT TEACHER, BOTH AT TEACHING AND MAKING CLASS FUN.
SHE IS ALSO ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS TEACHERS AT WOODSBORO.
I WAS VERY SHOCKED THAT SHE WAS ASSIGNED TO TEACH A REGULAR FOURTH GRADE CLASS.
I HOPE MRS. SHAWN CAN CONTINUE TO TEACH SIXTH GRADE KID CLASS.
FIRST OF ALL, I LEARNED MORE IN MRS. BROWN'S CLASS THAN ANY OTHER CLASS OPINION.
FOR EXAMPLE, MY WRITING SKILLS GREATLY IMPROVED BECAUSE SHE LET US WRITE AN ESSAY ALMOST WEEKLY.
SHE ALSO TEACHES US ADVANCED TOPICS SUCH AS GENETICS AND ENERGY.
MANY TIMES WHAT I LEARNED IN HER CLASS IS EVEN MORE DIFFICULT THAN WHAT I LEARNED IN MIDDLE SCHOOL.
OVERALL, SHE'S EXTRAORDINARY AT HER JOB, WHICH IS TEACHING SIXTH GRADE GRADE STUDENTS.
SECONDLY, MRS. CHAO'S CLASS IS FUN AND INTERESTING, DESPITE LEARNING A LOT WITH A STRONG CAN, ALWAYS LIKE TO HOST ACTIVITIES AND PARTIES TO IMPROVE OUR MORALE. SHE HOSTED NUMEROUS PARTIES AT HER HOUSE, CALLED FONDA'S, AND SHE ALLOWED US TO DESIGN OUR OWN YEARBOOK.
NO OTHER TEACHERS HAVE DONE THIS, AT LEAST NOT IN WOODSBORO.
THIRD, HER STYLE OF TEACHING SUITS KATE'S STUDENTS BETTER.
THIS WAY, MRS. CHEN CAN TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF THE CHARACTERISTICS.
[00:45:01]
SHE IS ALSO SHOWN TO BE GREAT AT TEACHING SIXTH GRADERS AND HELPING THEM TRANSITION INTO MIDDLE SCHOOLS.SO IN CONCLUSION, MRS. CHENG IS A TERRIFIC TEACHER WHO CREATES A BENEFICIAL AND FUN CLASS.
I ASK MOST OF HER MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLERS AND THEY ALL SAID THAT SHE IS AWESOME.
I BELIEVE THAT SHE IS PART OF THE REASON WHY WE SPARROWS GATE PROGRAM IS ONE OF THE BEST.
HER SKILLS SHOULD BE USED TO TEACH OLDER AND SMARTER KIDS.
PLUS, SHE ADDED HER SIXTH GRADE GATE FOR YEARS.
SO WHY CHANGE THAT NOW? THANK YOU.
THERE ARE MASK POLITICS WITH ABUSE OF OUR KIDS AND ABUSE OF MY KIDS.
THERE IS SAFETY ISSUES WITH A GUN AND A DEATH ON SCHOOL PROPERTY.
WHEN KIDS WERE PRESENT, THERE WAS AT HOME SCHOOL ABUSE OF KIDS AND PRIVACY.
THERE WERE BODILY ISSUES WITH BATHROOMS AND CHANGING ROOMS BEING SHARED BY BOYS AND GIRLS.
THERE'S TRANSGENDER TRANSITIONING.
IDEOLOGY BEING PROMOTED AND PUSHED BY PETE.
READING AND MATH PROFICIENCY SCORES ARE 44%, MEANING 56% ARE NOT PROFICIENT AT THEIR LEVEL.
TEACHERS ARE TEACHING CRT EVEN AFTER WE BANNED IT.
TEACHERS AND STAFF ARE USING SQL TO PUSH POLITICAL AND INAPPROPRIATE LIFESTYLE AND SEXUAL IDEAS.
THERE'S HARASSMENT OF CONSERVATIVES AND THOSE OF FAITH.
WE CURRENTLY USE ONLINE PROGRAMS THAT ARE CLEARLY WOKE, WHICH SHOW POLICE AS MURDERERS.
THEY SUPPORT RADICAL POLITICS AND ARE CLEARLY RACIST AND ANTI FAITH.
EDUCATION IS THE ISSUE AND THE SOLUTION.
I PRAY THAT PARENTS WILL WAKE UP AND GET INVOLVED.
PARENTS THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT HELPING YOUR KIDS.
MR. ELSASSER OLD SUPERINTENDENT.
NEW SUPERINTENDENT. TO BE DETERMINED.
THEY DO NOT RESPECT ALL FAITHS OR LIFESTYLE CHOICES.
THEY MANIPULATE PARENTS AND CLAIM THAT THEIR ACTIONS ARE MANDATED.
ASK QUESTIONS, PUSH FOR ANSWERS, AND GET INVOLVED.
PILE THE NUMBER FOR CHOICE TO GET MORE INFORMATION.
PLEASE. LET'S MAKE OUR SCHOOL BETTER.
AFTER OUR NEXT SPEAKER UP AFTER AFTER KRISTEN WILL BE COURTNEY, STEPH, HEATHER AND CARRIE.
SO THERE WAS NO LIVE STREAM, BY THE WAY, EITHER.
I MEAN, CLOSED CAPTIONING, WHATEVER IT'S CALLED.
JUST SO YOU GUYS KNOW, EL DORADO LIGHTS, THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT.
WE'RE THE ONLY HIGH SCHOOL THAT DOESN'T HAVE THEM.
FRESHMAN SOMETIMES GETS CUT SHORT BECAUSE THE SUN GOES DOWN.
IT CREATES SUCH A CAMARADERIE AMONG THE KIDS.
IT'S SO AMAZING TO WATCH THE VARSITY.
THEY'RE CHEERING ON THE FRESH OFF.
YES, THEY HAVE THOSE PORTABLE LIGHTS WITH THE GENERATORS, BUT THOSE ARE NOT OKAY TO USE FOR A GAME.
THAT'S WHY WE DON'T USE THEM FOR GAMES.
THEY'RE ONLY USED FOR PRACTICE.
AND I THINK ANOTHER ORGANIZATION BOUGHT SOME, BUT THEY'RE ONLY USED FOR PRACTICE.
THEY GO STRAIGHT OUT DIRECTLY AT THOSE HOUSES, SO DIRECTIONAL LIGHTS ARE GOING TO BE MUCH BETTER.
SOMETHING ELSE I WANT TO ADD WITH ALL OF THE BAD THAT DOES GO ON IN THE SCHOOL DISTRICT AT CERTAIN SCHOOLS, I'VE SAID FROM THE BEGINNING WE HAVE AMAZING TEACHERS AND THAT'S WHY I'VE ALWAYS WANTED MY KIDS TO BE BACK IN SCHOOL WITH THEM.
THIS YEAR IN PARTICULAR, THERE WAS A TEACHER THAT STOOD OUT WAY ABOVE THE REST.
[00:50:03]
AP ZERO SUCH A HARD CLASS.THE NATIONAL PASSING RATE IS 56%, EL DORADO IS 80%.
HOW HOW DOES TEACHER BECOME TEACHER OF THE YEAR WHILE OTHER TEACHERS NOMINATE THEM? I THINK WE NEED TO HAVE PARENT INPUT INTO THAT SOMETIMES BECAUSE AS A PARENT I SEE SOMETHING THAT OTHER TEACHERS DON'T SEE.
MY KID HATES HISTORY, BUT HE GOT A FOUR ON HIS AP ZERO TEST BECAUSE THIS TEACHER IS AMAZING.
SHE'S ENGAGING. SHE DOES ACTIVITIES ALL THE TIME.
BUT WE NEED A WAY WHERE THE PARENTS CAN RECOGNIZE THOSE TEACHERS AND WHERE WE CAN SHOWCASE THOSE TEACHERS THAT ARE JUST DOING AMAZING AND AMAZING JOB AND TEACHING WHAT THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE TEACHING, NOT THIS CRITICAL RACE THEORY AND HOW TO THINK OR WHAT TO THINK, NOT HOW TO THINK.
AND WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO SHOWCASE THOSE AMAZING TEACHERS.
SORRY, THIS IS GOING TO BE REDUNDANT, BUT I WANTED DR.
YET WE CONTINUE TO REQUIRE STUDENTS TO USE THE PROGRAM ALREADY.
THERE ARE SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH IT ALREADY.
THERE IS LITTLE TO NO ATTENTION GIVEN TO WHAT CONTENT IS AVAILABLE TO OUR STUDENTS.
IN FACT, IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE TO ASK A TEACHER TO KEEP TRACK OF WHAT IS BEING OFFERED VIA IRONY BECAUSE IT'S A DIGITAL MEDIA PREPARED OFF SITE TO WHICH EACH SCHOOL HAS NO SAY IN WHAT IS AVAILABLE TO THEIR STUDENTS.
YOU MIGHT BE THINKING, NO, THAT'S NOT TRUE.
WHEN A TEACHER REQUIRES A STUDENT TO LOG ONTO IT.
SO WHO IS VETTING THE CONTENT? NO ONE. YOU'RE RELYING ON THE FILTERS AND THEY'RE CLEARLY NOT WORKING.
WHAT IS THE POINT OF BANNING CRT? IF YOU'RE GOING TO CONTINUE TO USE THIRD PARTY PROGRAMS THAT INCLUDE IT IN THEIR EVERYDAY CURRICULUM? READ IS ALSO VERY EXPENSIVE.
WE'VE BROUGHT THIS TO YOUR ATTENTION SEVERAL TIMES, AND THE ANSWER THAT WE GET IS ALWAYS THE SAME.
THAT I READ IS USED EXCLUSIVELY FOR ASSESSMENT.
THAT'S SIMPLY NOT TRUE EITHER.
MY DAUGHTER IS A FIFTH GRADER AT TRAVIS.
ONE AFTERNOON SHE CAME TO ME AND APOLOGIZED THAT SHE DROPPED AN ENTIRE LETTER GRADE.
AFTER HEARING OVER AND OVER AGAIN THAT I ALREADY WAS USED ONLY FOR ASSESSMENT, I WAS CONFUSED.
AND TO BE CLEAR, THESE WERE NOT ASSESSMENTS.
SO I WOULDN'T BRING UP A PROBLEM WITHOUT PROVIDING A SOLUTION.
AND I WOULD REALLY HOPE THAT YOU LOOK INTO LEXI PHONICS AND POWER UP LITERACY.
THEY ARE GREAT PROGRAMS THAT HELP TEACH, BUT THEY HELP.
THEY HAVE MORE CONTENT CONTROL.
AND JUST TO RECAP, STUDENTS HATE IT.
IT'S EXPENSIVE. WE'RE NOT USING IT IN THE MANNER THAT THE DISTRICT PROMISED.
IT'S ADDING MORE SCREEN TIME TO OUR CHILDREN.
SO MY QUESTION IS, WHY ARE WE STILL USING THIS PROGRAM? I'M HOPING THAT WE CAN DO BETTER THIS YEAR.
I'M TIRED OF PAYING FOR KUMON.
PLEASE REPEAT YOUR NAME BEFORE YOU START, PLEASE.
MATHEWSON, I GUESS THIS IS MORE FOR YOU.
I'M NEW TO THE SCHOOL. KIND OF LIKE YOU ARE.
BUT I'VE BEEN HERE A YEAR NOW.
AND I WALKED ONTO THESE CAMPUSES AND THEY ALL HAVE BANNERS THAT SAID NEEDED, NURTURED, WHATEVER.
BASICALLY, EVERYONE IS SEEN AND CARED FOR.
I CAN TELL YOU THAT A GOOD MAJORITY OF THAT IS NOT TRUE.
AND MAYBE SOME PLACES IT IS IN CERTAIN PROGRAMS. BUT I CAN TELL YOU WHAT. MY OLDEST CAME INTO THE SCHOOL WITH AN IEP THAT NEEDED TO BE REEVALUATED PER THE PANDEMIC, AND IT TOOK FROM AUGUST TO THE WEEK BEFORE THANKSGIVING, GIVING FOR ANYTHING TO HAPPEN.
AND THAT TEACHER TOOK IT AMONGST THEMSELVES TO LIKE TAKE CARE OF IT.
BUT THAT STILL TOOK TO CHRISTMAS BREAK.
SO MY JUNIOR CHILD IS NOW REPEATING CLASSES GOING INTO NEXT YEAR BECAUSE HE FAILED CLASSES.
HE SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN. IT ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN IT.
WHEN WE TALK ABOUT THE KIDS ARE BEHIND, I HAVE A SECOND GRADER.
[00:55:01]
I ACTUALLY WAS NOT ONE OF THEM BECAUSE MY KID WAS ABOVE THE BALL, BECAUSE WE CAME FROM LAS VIRGENES, WHICH IS ALMOST A TWO YEAR AHEAD ACADEMICALLY THAN THIS DISTRICT.ALL OF THEM FIND IT JUST LAZY.
YOU HAVE BASEBALL PLAYERS GETTING INTO FIGHTS ON BUSSES.
YOU HAVE BASKETBALL PLAYERS BREAKING EACH OTHER'S ICE SOCKETS.
I'M TELLING YOU, THE HARASSMENT THAT GOES ON IN THESE PROGRAMS AND WHEN YOU GO AND COMPLAIN TO AN ELSASSER, ARE YOU GOING TO COMPLAIN TO THE PRINCIPALS AND EVERYBODY? NOTHING HAPPENS.
AND YOU KNOW WHO'S RUNNING THEIR BASEBALL PROGRAM THIS SUMMER? THOSE SAME COACHES.
THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS AT THESE SCHOOLS.
WE CAME FROM A DIFFERENT WORLD.
AND THESE KIDS ARE NOT PROTECTED AND THEY'RE NOT SEEN AND THEY'RE NOT NURTURED.
I CAN PROMISE YOU THAT AS A WHOLE THEY ARE NOT NURTURED.
ELSASSER GO, I WANT TO WELCOME YOU TO PEACE USD, DR.
MATHEWS. MY FAMILY INTENTIONALLY MOVED TO A SPECIFIC HOME TO UTILIZE CERTAIN SCHOOLS IN THIS DISTRICT OVER TEN YEARS AGO, AND I'M SURE THAT COUNTLESS OTHER FAMILIES CAN SAY THE SAME.
AND I THINK THAT YOU WILL FIND THAT WHILE USED PARENTS ARE ENGAGED PARTNERS IN THE EDUCATION OF THEIR CHILDREN AND THIS INVOLVEMENT IS SOMETHING TO BE ENCOURAGED AND CELEBRATED THAT'S NOT ALWAYS FELT TO BE THE CASE AS A PARENT IN THE DISTRICT, BUT I'VE ALWAYS FELT IT SHOULD BE SINCE THAT'S ALWAYS BEEN A LONG COMPLAINT.
I ASSUME THIS CAN BE SAID ABOUT A LOT OF SCHOOLS AND A LOT OF DISTRICTS, BUT WE DO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH BULLYING NP, LAUSD, AND I'M HOPEFUL THAT THIS CAN BE FINALLY ADDRESSED AND RESOLVED SO THAT ALL CHILDREN CAN BE SAFE AND FEEL SAFE AT SCHOOL.
I THINK IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU'RE OFF TO A WONDERFUL START AND I LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR LEADERSHIP.
THANK YOU. GOOD EVENING, SUPERINTENDENT. DR.
MY SON HAS STRUGGLED THROUGH YOUR PROGRAM FROM PRESCHOOL THROUGH THE SIXTH GRADE.
IN YOUR HE'S GONE FROM SPECIAL DAY TO GEN ED BACK TO SPECIAL DAY.
AND THEN I HAD TO FIGHT TO GET HIM OUT OF SPECIAL DAY AND INTO GEN ED.
AND NOW FOR HIS JUNIOR HIGH EXPERIENCE, HE IS SLATED TO GO TO YOUR SCHOOL WITH FULL INCLUSION.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO FULLY TRAIN YOUR STAFF TO MEET THE NEEDS OF MINE AND OTHER STUDENTS? INDIVIDUAL NEEDS, THEIR INDIVIDUAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS.
I KNOW AS A TEACHER MYSELF AND AS A PARENT THAT PLACENTIA UNIFIED NEEDS TO HAVE TEACHERS THAT ARE HIGHLY QUALIFIED WITH SPECIFIC SPECIALIZED TRAINING IN THE AREA OF READING.
I MYSELF WENT OUT AND GOT MY DYSLEXIC CERTIFICATE THROUGH THE DYSLEXIC INSTITUTE SO I CAN HELP MY STUDENT AT HOME BECAUSE HE WAS NOT SUCCEEDING IN YOUR SCHOOLS.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO TO MAKE SURE THAT OUR STUDENTS ARE READING? READING IS NOT TAUGHT PAST THE THIRD GRADE.
IT'S JUST ASSUME THAT THEY CAN ALL DO IT.
I TEACH SECOND GRADE AND IT SCARES ME TO KNOW THAT THEY'RE GOING TO BE EXPECTED TO BE IN THESE CLASSES FULLY INCLUDED WITHOUT SOMEBODY THERE TO ASSIST THEM.
SORRY, I'M JUST VERY EMOTIONAL OVER THIS BECAUSE THIS IS MY ONE AND ONLY THAT.
[01:00:08]
HOW WILL OUR STUDENTS GET THEIR INDIVIDUAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS MET? WILL BEING PLACED IN LARGE CLASSROOMS IN A GEN ED SETTING, HOW WILL YOU ENSURE THAT THEY'RE NOT BULLIED BECAUSE OF THEIR ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY NEEDS? THAT THEY HAVE SOME WEAR HEADPHONES? I KNOW MY TIME IS UP, BUT SOME OF THE STUDENTS WERE HEADPHONES.READ YOUR COMMENTS. THE READING.
MA'AM, YOU NEED TO CONCLUDE YOUR COMMENTS.
[HUMAN RESOURCES]
LOPEZ. I'LL MAKE A MOTION TO ACCEPT THE INITIAL SUNSHINE PROPOSAL FROM CCR.SECOND, MR. LOPEZ. GOOD EVENING, PRESIDENT, PARK BOARD MEMBERS, SUPERINTENDENT, DR.
MATTHEWS AND EXECUTIVE CABINET.
THE PARTIES AGREE TO COMMENCE NEGOTIATIONS FOR OUR SUCCESSOR CONTRACT.
THE EDUCATIONAL EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS ACT REQUIRES INITIAL CONTRACT PROPOSALS MADE BY BOTH SIDES TO BE PRESENTED AT A PUBLIC MEETING PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF EMPLOYER EMPLOYEE NEGOTIATIONS. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE PROCEDURES.
CCR IS SUBMITTING THEIR INITIAL PROPOSAL TO OPEN NEGOTIATIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE PROCEDURES.
ANYBODY COMMENTS? OKAY WITH THAT, WE'LL TAKE A VOTE.
ALL THOSE IN FAVOR AND OPPOSED MOTION CARRIES FOUR ZERO AND NUMBER TWO MOTION.
IN A SECOND I'LL MAKE A MOTION THAT WE ACCEPT THE INITIAL CENSURE SUNSHINE PROPOSAL FROM THE DISTRICT AND INITIATE THE COLLECTIVE CLASSIFIED BARGAINING PROCESS FOR THE 2020 223 SCHOOL YEAR SECOND.
WE ALREADY HEARD A LITTLE ABOUT THIS.
PLEASE SAY I. AND OPPOSED MOTION CARRIES FOUR ZERO.
AND THAT BRINGS US TO CONSENT CALENDAR.
[CONSENT CALENDAR]
AND ALL OF THESE ITEMS WE GET ARE ROUTINE IN NATURE AND THE BOARD RECEIVES BACKUP ITEMS IN AHEAD OF TIME.AND SO WE DID HAVE ONE THAT WE ARE SCRATCHING FROM FROM THIS NUMBER TEN.
OKAY. ANYTHING ELSE? OKAY. SO COULD WE HAVE A MOTION IN A SECOND FOR THE REMAINING CONSENT CALENDAR? SO MOVE SECOND.
[6. Adopt Resolution No. 22-01 for the establishment of the tax schedule for CFD No. 1 for the 2022-23 fiscal year.]
MADE A MOTION IN THE SECOND FOR THAT.DO YOU WANT TO MAKE A MOTION FOR.
NUMBER ONE FOR THE 2223 FISCAL YEAR.
MR. YOUNGBLOOD? YES, PRESIDENT.
WHAT I WAS LOOKING AT IS THIS A LEVY OF A SPECIAL TAX FOR THE COMMUNITY FACILITIES.
DISTRICT NUMBER ONE, RESOLUTION 22, DASH ZERO ONE.
AND AS I UNDERSTAND THIS, A BOND MEASURE.
NOW, THIS IS A BOND MEASURE THAT'S BEEN GOING ON 20 YEARS NOW.
AND I WAS NOT GIVEN MORE INFORMATION ABOUT HOW MUCH WE STILL OWE ON THIS OR IF YOU KNOW, WHAT OUR PROCESS IS IN COMPLETING THIS BOND MEASURE AND IF THERE IS THE ABILITY TO EVEN PUT A HOLD ON ANY MORE TAXATION.

ON THE TAXPAYER RIGHT NOW.REALLY BAD TIMING FOR ANY MORE TAXES.
SO I'M WAS CURIOUS, IS THAT A POSSIBILITY IN WHICH WE CAN PUT A HOLD ON THIS PARTICULAR BOND PAYMENT OR THIS TAXATION UNTIL WE CAN LOOK AT IT A LITTLE FURTHER? PLUS, I WASN'T EVEN SURE ABOUT HOW MUCH WE STILL OWE ON THAT BOND.
DO WE HAVE ANY FOLLOW UP? MR. GIORDANO YEAH.
SO THE ITEM BEFORE YOU THIS EVENING, THIS ITEM IS TO APPROVE ITS RESOLUTION NUMBER 20 TO 0 ONE, AND IT'S TO ESTABLISH THE TAX SCHEDULE FOR THE 2223 FISCAL YEAR, AND IT'S TO AUTHORIZE THE ORANGE COUNTY TREASURER AND TAX COLLECTOR TO LEVY SPECIAL TAXES ON THE TAX ROLL.
AND IT'S FOR OUR COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT.
NUMBER ONE, TAXES DON'T INCREASE FROM YEAR TO YEAR, BUT REMAIN THE SAME.
FOR EXAMPLE, PARKS, EASEMENTS AND BETWEEN LOTS.
THERE'S ALSO SOME EXEMPTIONS AS WELL.
THE ASSESSMENTS ACTUALLY REQUIRED IN ORDER TO PAY THE BOND HOLDERS.
SO IN TERMS OF REQUIREMENT, WE ARE REQUIRED TO TO MOVE FORWARD WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE TAX SCHEDULE, WE CAN BRING FORWARD TO THE BOARD ADDITIONAL DETAIL IN TERMS OF WHAT OUR OUTSTANDING BONDS ARE.
IT'S SOMEWHERE AROUND A LITTLE OVER $5 MILLION IS WHAT'S OUTSTANDING ON THAT DEBT.
BUT WE CAN BRING THAT BACK BEFORE THE BOARD.
AND IT'S BEEN THAT WAY FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS.
I WAS JUST CURIOUS ABOUT THE WHAT THE FULL AMOUNT OF IT WAS AND HOW MUCH DO WE STILL OWE.
THANK YOU. MR. FREEMAN. YES. THIS IS WHAT IS NORMALLY CALLED A MELROSE, IS THAT CORRECT? THAT'S CORRECT. WHICH HAS BEEN DONE IN MANY CASES WHEN DIFFERENT HOMES ARE BUILT IN DIFFERENT LOCATIONS, MANY PLACES.
SO I GUESS AS YOU WOULD BRING BACK INFORMATION, IT WOULD BE INTERESTING THAT MELROSE IS ARE ABLE TO EITHER, I GUESS, STOP OR BE DEFERRED.
I DIDN'T THINK WHEN YOU BOUGHT A HOUSE IN A MELROSE AREA THAT WAS POSSIBLE.
BUT AS YOU BRING BACK INFORMATION, MAYBE JUST A LITTLE BIT OF INFORMATION ABOUT THAT AND WHAT THAT MEANS TO ANYONE WHO BUYS A HOME IN A MELROSE AREA, WHICH IS SOMETHING THAT I DON'T THINK THAT A DISTRICT CREATES.
BUT AGAIN, INFORMATION AS YOU HAVE, IT WOULD BE GREAT.
OKAY. WITH THAT, WE'LL TAKE A VOTE.
AN OPPOSED MOTION CARRIES FOUR ZERO.
AND THAT BRINGS US TO ANY FUTURE BOARD AGENDA ITEMS.
[FUTURE BOARD AGENDA ITEMS]
WE'LL START WITH MRS. FREEMAN.DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING? I DO NOT HAVE ANY AT THIS TIME.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH, MR. ENGLEWOOD. I HAD A QUICK QUESTION REGARDING TEACHER EVALUATIONS.
MAYBE MR. LOPEZ COULD PROBABLY BETTER ANSWER THIS FOR ME, BUT IS THERE ANNUAL BI ANNUAL TEACHER EVALUATIONS IN WHICH GET PROCESS TO WHERE WE CAN KIND OF SEE WHERE THERE ARE AREAS THAT NEED SOME IMPROVEMENT OR OR EVEN AS ONE OF OUR CONSTITUENTS TALK TONIGHT THAT WOULD BE SPOTLIGHTED, THAT HAS DONE AMAZING WORK IN WHICH WE CAN ALSO, YOU KNOW, CELEBRATE THAT AS WELL.
EVALUATIONS ARE CONDUCTED EACH YEAR FOR ALL EMPLOYEE GROUPS, ALL TYPES OF EMPLOYEES.
HOW LONG? THEY'VE BEEN WITH US AND THE VARIOUS TYPES OF POSITIONS THAT WE HAVE.
ELSASSER BEFORE HE LEFT AND I THINK WE TALKED ABOUT A COUPLE OF MONTHS AT A BOARD MEETING THAT WE WERE GOING TO GO OVER HOW WE DO OUR AGENDA ITEMS AND WE WERE GOING TO REEVALUATE IT. AND I BELIEVE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ON OUR JULY AGENDA, AND I THINK PROBABLY DR.
BUT BEFORE HE LEFT, HE SAYS IT WILL BE ON THE JULY AGENDA AND IT WAS NOT TONIGHT.
SO I'M HOPING THAT IT CAN BE PUT ON TO THE AUGUST AGENDA.
WHAT EXACTLY IS WHAT ABOUT IT WAS.
I THINK IT WAS. WHAT IS IT? WAS IT APRIL OR MAY OR JUNE? WE WERE TALKING ABOUT HOW WE DO OUR AGENDA ITEMS WITH THE THUMBS UP, THUMBS DOWN.
WE SAID WE WERE GOING TO REVIEW IT DURING THE SUMMERTIME.
AND SO ESPECIALLY ON JULY, IT WAS NOT.
MATHEWS, MAYBE WE CAN TALK ABOUT HOW WE CAN GO ABOUT DOING THAT.
AWESOME. I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO ADD TO FUTURE BOARD AGENDA ITEMS.
[01:10:09]
SO THAT BRINGS US TO ADJOURNMENT.ALL THOSE IN FAVOR. I MOTION AND OPPOSE.
MOTION CARRIES FOUR ZERO AND WE ARE ADJOURNED AT 810.
